..Good Morning. Don’t forget this weekend starting Friday, through Monday at the Tudor House, the Broadway Revue performance will be happening! Tickets can be purchased at the door or online. Here is a link to their website: BROADWAY REVUE Dinner is also available if you purchase tickets in advance.

..Today we have clear skies across the mountain with fog in the Valley. A weak pressure gradient from Tonopah Nevada to the mountains will keep us in a North Easterly flow, or breeze today. Temperatures will be close to what we had yesterday with highs in the upper 60s to low 70s. Big Bear and the higher elevations will be a little cooler. From the coast to the foothills there is an onshore pressure gradient of ~8mbs combined with an offshore eddy that will keep the morning fog in the Valley each morning. The Marine layer will remain at or about the 4000-5000′ level for the next three days.
..A Trough of Low pressure will pass over SoCal late Friday night. As this passes, the Marine layer will deepen to the ~5000′-5500′ level by Saturday morning. Temperatures on Saturday will be cool as the Trough passes by. Gusty winds will taper off by the afternoon and briefly turn to the Northeast behind the departing Trough.
..After the Trough passes by Saturday afternoon, High pressure now to our South will expand North, and bring in a warming trend that will last from Sunday, through next Friday. For Memorial Day, temperatures will be in the 70s across much of the mountain. By mid week we could see some areas in the mid to upper 70s. Then as it looks now, another trough will pass through next weekend bring a slight cooling trend to the area.
..So this pattern of weak areas of Low pressure will continue through the upper level flow around an area of High pressure to our West over the Eastern Pacific. This will also be moderated by a Sub Tropical area of High pressure over Mainland Mexico that will slowly strengthen next week and expand to the West. As this Sub Tropical High strengthens, we will see much warmer weather for the local area as we head into the first week of June. So enjoy this cool weather while it lasts. RC
