TODAY’S WEATHER DISCUSSION AND FORECAST:
Today the Marine layer is just into the Inland Valley but very thin. It’s almost more of a haze at this point this morning.
..We will continue to have pretty much the same Weather pattern through early next week with warm temperatures today then cooling Thursday through Saturday under a weak Trough. Then for Sunday through Tuesday a more zonal flow in the upper atmosphere with a weak area of High pressure nudging in from the West again. So over all temperatures will remain in the mid 70s to mid 80s through the period.
..Then a pattern change is starting to work up. July officially is the start of the Monsoon Season for Southwest. As it looks this morning, we will see the first signs of this toward the end of next week as a Sub-Tropical area of High pressure sets up over Western Mexico along with another area of High pressure to our Northwest over the Pacific. Also, it looks like the first Tropical storm of the season will move up from the Tropics around the 28th which will likely push moisture into the South West in the form of Thunderstorms into the region. So if you don’t like our nice cool weather,it’s going to change very soon. As the Monsoonal flow moves into the West, humidity and higher temperature will follow. Enjoy!
..As we head into Fire Season please use caution in all mountain areas. Also I will begin today posting the Fire Danger levels on the bottom of this page also check the wx alerts page for an in depth look at the local fire weather..(Website)
..Have a good day and enjoy the great Mountain weather.*RC

..Be sure to check out the other pages on the website for the Latest on El Nino, live webcams from around the area, live Radar, Satellite loops, Traffic conditions, along with live Weather conditions, and a live view of Lake Gregory from my weather station at the South side of the lake.
