Good Morning.
As of 5am we have clear skies with no Fog around the area.
Today we will have another nice day around the Mountain as High pressure will be our dominant feature. Mostly clear skies with daytime temperatures in the 50s across the area. We will have Light and variable winds with a few high clouds throughout the day. Tomorrow a change will begin for the region. The first in a series of systems will arrive late tomorrow night. Increasing clouds tomorrow afternoon will bring rain and snow by late Friday night into Saturday. This first system will pave the way for several more possibly wet Pacific systems for next week. The snow levels are looking to stay around the 5500-6200′ level Saturday morning. Running Springs and Big Bear can expect 1-4″ of snow by Saturday afternoon. Below that, from 5300-6000′ 1-3″s looks reasonable at this time. The moisture of this storm will run from .50-1.25″ rainfall equivalent in the mountains. Saturday afternoon we will clear out as a weak Ridge moves through the area. Sunday will also be mostly clear with increasing clouds late in the day. Monday through Friday next week look pretty wet for our area. Snow levels look like they will stay pretty much as they have been with snow likely above the 5200-5800′ level through most of the week. Wednesday looks like the heaviest rain/snow potential. Flooding may be a possibility for the lower elevations mid week next week, for the areas prone to flooding. RC
