TODAY’S WEATHER DISCUSSION AND FORECAST:
Today’s Forecast for Crestline, Twin Peaks, Lake Arrowhead and the San Bernardino Mountains.
Today our weather will be influenced by a weak Trough of low pressure passing to our North. Temperatures will be cool today with mostly clear skies and variable winds through the day. As this Trough moves East tomorrow, High pressure will build across the West. We will pick up a North East wind along with warmer temperatures through Thursday. Wednesday and Thursday the Crestline and Lake Arrowhead areas will likely see daytime highs in the low to mid 80s. Then Friday may be the beginning of some significant changes in our weather. The Cut Off Low that has been sitting offshore will begin to move Inland across NorCal. As it does we will see temperatures begin to cool Friday through the weekend. Morning clouds and fog will develop possibly moving into the Inland areas during the morning hours as well. Meanwhile, early next week there are a couple of Tropical systems that are forecast to move North along the Baja Coast heading into the San Diego and Desert Southwest. As of this morning the models show a significant rain event for the SW Desert and the San Bernardino Mountain areas for Oct 2/3. So with fingers crossed, we may see some precipitation to begin the month of October. Have a good day today and enjoy the great Mountain weather.
