Good Morning.
This morning the skies are all clear with no Fog along the Rim. Watch for ICY spots or Black ICE from the recent moisture.
Overnight temperatures ran in the upper 20s to mid 30s for most areas across the mountain. Today we should warm up to the upper 40s to low 50s. A few high clouds will give the day some character along with light and variable winds. Today we will be under a Ridge of High pressure sandwiched between two areas of Low pressure that will affect SoCal beginning tomorrow. Wednesday, an area of Low pressure will move into the PAC-NW bringing rain as far South as the Ventura area. Here we will have a partly cloudy day with a ~20% chance for a shower. Thursday, will be partly cloudy with slow clearing. Friday, there will be increasing clouds and a chance for rain below the 5500′ level with snow possible above the 6000′ level by late afternoon or evening. Periods of Rain and snow will be possible from late Friday through Monday as a couple of systems work their way through the West. All of these systems will stay mostly to our North with the trailing edge passing through SoCal. There is not a lot of confidence in this Forecast due to the uncertainty of the strength and intensity of these upcoming storms. At this time, it doesn’t appear that the a Tropical connection will affect these systems through Monday. Currently, Monday’s storm looks the most promising but this also may change.
Have a great day and thanks for joining me @ www.lakegregoryweather.com and be sure to check out the website for live webcams from around the area, and my weather station at the South side of lake Gregory, and other weather stuff.
