TODAY’S LATEST SATELLITE PICTURES:
TODAY’S WEATHER DISCUSSION AND FORECAST:
..The Trend for the week will be High pressure moves East and weakens bringing a slow cooling trend through Saturday.
..Today, we will have another warm day as High pressure now centered over Arizona remains our dominate weather feature. Temperatures today will be very close to Sunday’s daytime Highs across the Mountain running from the mid to upper 80s.
..Tomorrow, the area of High pressure will begin to weaken and slowly move East. This will allow some cooling locally with daytime Highs cooling by 2-3*. Wednesday another 2-4* of cooling can be expected.
..A Trough of Low pressure off of the PAC-NW will begin to affect our area Wednesday. Onshore flow will strengthen Wednesday through Saturday as the Trough moves closer to SoCal. By Friday we could see daytime Highs in the upper 70s as the Trough moves Inland across the PAC-NW. Saturday may be our coolest day of the week before High pressure returns to the area.
..On the long range outlook, not to much change from the pattern we have been in. The Monsoonal Moisture will remain to our East as it looks now, so I don’t see any real chances of Thunderstorms locally for the next seven days. There will be some upper level moisture passing through later today and tomorrow but there doesn’t appear to be any dynamics to support Thunderstorm activity or rain locally.
..That’s it for now. *RC
