TODAY’S WEATHER DISCUSSION AND FORECAST:

Good Morning.
..Wow! Here it is Friday already!
..The weekend is looking pretty good weather wise with slightly cooler temperatures in the forecast across our area. This is due to a Trough that is currently moving onshore in the PAC-NW. As the Trough moves Inland, we will have increasing gusty winds from the South West, along with a drier air mass across SoCal. The area of High pressure that has brought in Monsoonal Moisture on and off over the last couple weeks has moved East for now, therefore shutting off the flow of Moisture to our area. The Trough to our North will move Inland by Saturday night allowing a slight warm up for Sunday through Tuesday as weak High pressure builds. Then for Wednesday through Friday of next week, another Trough is likely to move through the PAC-NW again bringing in another cooling trend at that time.
..Generally, we will be in sort of a Zonal flow between Highs and Lows moving through the flow. No big changes are evident for us at this time through the next five to seven days. *RC
..As we head into the latter part of Summer and the Fall Seasons, local Forest vegetation is drying out. Fuel moistures are below average now, and the Fire Danger levels are on the rise. Be sure to check Fire Regulations before camping to make sure of current Fire Regulations!
..That’s it for now.
..Thank you for joining me @ www.lakegregoryweather.com

..As we head into Fire Season please use caution in all mountain areas. Also I will begin today posting the Fire Danger levels the WX Alerts page for a more in depth look at the local fire weather..(Website)

Yesterday’s High and Low temperatures were:
Crestline-82/56*, Twin Peaks-84/56*, Lk Arrowhead-82/58*, Running Springs-77/57*, Big Bear-79/42*, GVL-78/48*, San Berdo-99/61*, Wtrmn Cyn-88/57*.

..On the main page of the website, www.lakegregoryweather.com I have added two live webcam views, one of Lake Gregory pointing North, and the other facing Southeast toward Waterman canyon. These are very helpful for the drive up and down the hill. If the camera view is gray, that means it’s foggy.

..Be sure to check out the other pages on the website for the Latest on El Nino, live webcams from around the area, live Radar, Satellite loops, Traffic conditions, along with live Weather conditions, and a live view of Lake Gregory from my weather station at the South side of the lake. Have a good Day! *RC
