TODAY’S WEATHER DISCUSSION AND FORECAST:
..Today will be another nice day across our mountain communities.
Temperatures will continue to be above average through mid week next week. Clear skies and offshore winds from 5-15mph will be the forecast through Tuesday.
..This morning an area of low pressure is off of Baja along with an area of High pressure across most of the Pacific Ocean to our North and West.
..We will only see subtle differences in our weather for the next several days. The Low to our Southwest will move East Monday giving a slight boost to our offshore flow locally. Gusty NE winds can be expected in the Canyons and along the Ridges for Monday and Tuesday. Tuesday as the Low moves East, A Ridge of High pressure will move over SoCal through Wednesday. This will keep temperatures above average through the period.
..Then for Thursday, cooler temperatures will arrive as onshore flow returns. A Trough of Low pressure will move onshore across the West which will bring stronger onshore flow, cooler temperatures, along with a chance for the Inland areas to see some morning fog. This Trough will bring in higher humidity levels across the SoCal Region helping to mitigate the High fire Danger levels we have had for the last few weeks.
..On the long range outlook, the next seven days look dry as far as any rain goes. On the longer range outlook, there is a chance for something around the 25th as it looks this morning. *RC
..Have a good rest of the weekend, and enjoy the nice mountain weather.
