TODAY’S WEATHER DISCUSSION AND FORECAST:

..Good Morning.
..Yesterday as the smoke cleared and the clouds rolled in, some areas actually had a little rain across the mountain. Parts of Running Springs had up to .04″ and along the 330 passing lanes .02″ was reported there by the Ranger Station.
..Today there will be another chance for a rain shower across the Mountains as an area of Low pressure continues to spin over SoCal drawing in moisture from the South and East. Rain chances today are running from 25-50% the further East you go from Crestline.
..The upper level winds will be from the East today then turn to the South, as wrap around winds move over the area from the Cut Off Low as it bobbles around over our area.
..Later tonight the Low will move offshore then move East by Monday taking any chances for scattered showers or Thunderstorms with it.
..Monday should warm up a few degrees as a transient area of High pressure moves across the Southland.
..To our North another area of Low pressure will begin to move Inland Monday night bringing more cooling to our area with increased morning Fog and low clouds as well as gusty SW winds through Thursday.
..Friday of next week, temperatures will begin to warm up under High pressure over the West. Offshore winds will also return for Thursday night and Friday gusting from 10-20mph with higher gusts in the wind prone areas.
..At this time, there is no rain in our ten day outlook for SoCal other than a random shower from a passing Thunderstorm today and Sunday.
..Today’s Fire Danger Levels will be a little lower due to increased humidity.
..Have a good day out there.
